As Occupy Wall Street protest turns global and spreads throughout the U.S. and the rest of the world like wildfire, we have witnessed yet another unprovoked act of violence towards the protesters by a NYPD officer.

Felix Rivera-Pitre, a Queens resident, claims he was walking down William St. with other protesters when he passed by a police officer and they exchanged glances. The next moment, the policeman swung at him and hit him on the left side of the face.

The blow was so hard that Rivera-Pitre had his earring torn out. As other members of NYPD tried to get him, the crowd pulled Rivera-Pitre by his hands to safety.

Since Rivera-Pitre is HIV positive, and after his earring got torn out there was a lot of blood, he suggests that the cop should get tested.

The NYPD spokesman claims that Riviera-Pitre started the incident by assaulting the cop, but the video clearly shows him walking by as the cop rushed after him and punched him in the face.

One of the possible reasons of the attack, as Riviera-Pitre says, might be the fact that the cop realized he was gay from his looks, as other protesters often mistook him for a woman when they couldn’t see his face clearly. This possibility makes the incident even more outrageous.

The only thing different is the color of his shirt, oh and a Swastika.

Wow. I’m a completely supporter of OWS but not only is Mr. Rivera-Pitre perpetrating a false idea about HIV (you can not get HIV from blood to skin contact, must be blood to blood) and he’s statement that him “looking gay” might have something to do with it is completely irresponsible on his part. Shame on him!
