Cop Breaks 84 Year Old’s Neck For Touching Him

An elderly man is in critical condition after being thrown to the ground by a police officer. It happened Saturday night near North Orange Avenue after police say Daniel Daley put his hands on the cop. The World War II veteran is out of surgery. He suffered an injury doctors at Florida Hospital say only about 10 percent of people are lucky enough to survive.
Daley left the Caboose Bar and headed to his car across the street Saturday night.

Witnesses say the 84-year-old was upset when he saw his car was about to be towed. The Ivanhoe Grocery owner recently posted signs warning drivers because customers of other businesses were parking in their spots. Several people, who didn’t want to go on camera, say it has led to plenty of arguments the past few weeks, but none with the potentially deadly consequences that happened Saturday.

The police were called and say Daley, who’d been drinking, put his hands on the officer. Witnesses say he put his hands on the officer three times and the cop warned him to stop each time.

Police say Daley made a fist and said ‘I’m not leaving until I knock this cop out. Another witness says the officer then violently hip checked him and took him to the ground. Daley ended up in Florida Hospital with a broken neck.

There’s nothing that deals with the elderly in the Orlando Police Department’s use of force policy. However, it does define imminent danger as a situation that could lead to death or great bodily harm.

An Orlando police sergeant and spokesperson said this situation should qualify as imminent danger, but many residents don’t think so.

“I don’t think anyone needs to be thrown to the ground and have their neck broken because they were parked in the wrong spot,” said Gabby Aparacio, store customer. “I mean he’s an old man. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been drinking or not. How belligerent can you be?”

“I know when I get angry, I ball my fist. It doesn’t mean I’m going to hit you. I think he had no right to do so,” said Nataya Benway.

It looks like the old man was looking for troubles.

    • Dave says:

It was an unnecessary use of force. If an 84 year old man put his hands on my shoulders I’m confident I could subdue him with decking him and breaking his neck.

Doesn’t surprise me because a few years ago a police officer in a small tennessee town slapped a 5 year old boy because he wouldn’t stop crying because they were arresting his father on a speeding ticket.the slap knocked the kid down and the officers chief said the kid was interfering with his officer. Now that is what wears a badge in tennessee I don’t no what vulgar name you could put to describe a person that would hit a 5 year old opinion

    • Mike says:

What? So, you are intimidated by an 84 year old man? haha! I suppose that you are a city employee with a badge as well. Cowards.

      • rosuartrial says:

duuuude – 84 year olds are dangerous – what if they just ran out of adult dipers ? they can fart. In all these cases people should get very well patted gloves and avoid touching the “crystal” officers for fear of “them breaking up ” After all they are that delicate.

That’s a shrewd answer to a tricky qusieton

It looks like you are a fucking shit cop who should get his neck broken see how you like it

      Protect and serve my ass

  2. Jason says:

He’s 84 years old, the cop could have clipped the handcuffs on without slamming him to the ground. What a cowardly act.

Dan your a moron. so what the old man little drunk. does supposed to be professionals not assholes. only a bad person treat an old man like that. or think its okay to cheat on me like that. those kind of people should be put away forever away from society.

  4. wife says:

If people were to read it says the cop said many times to not put his hands on them . If somebody was coming after you . You wouldn’t just stand there. The police mans job is to not only protect others but to go home to there family’s at night safe and sound . Officer should not let somebody Hurt them after they have told the other person to stop many time why should they go home hurt or risk death for somebody elsa .. police have family’s also . I understand he threw him down but you never know what he did or if he fought them to the point they had no choice look at both sides they need to protect themselves

    • fuck you you are literally braindead says:

yeah because an 84 year old man is imminent danger to a police officer when he could have just as easily placed him under arrest? no excuse.

    • Nick Mullinix says:

Obviously you are a police wife. It must make you bitter to know that you are married to a mindless neanderthal who is only a police officer because he’s too stupid to perform most other jobs. Yes, there is a maximum IQ level, above which police academies will not accept you. In most jurisdictions it is 110.
Seriously, as much police brutality as is in the news recently (due to every location being under video surveillance), how can you even argue this anymore? Cops are criminals. It is undeniable. There are volumes upon volumes of evidence.

    • Mike says:

haha! Wife of a city employee with a badge… you are a coward. How bad has the world become when 84yo’s are considered a danger to society for parking their cars. You, wife, are a cowardly tool.

I’m sure that the “peace officer’s” wife has left him by now because her hubby is a weakling.

    • Lugnut45 says:

So the cop had plenty opportunities to see how old the man was, right? He didn’t just throw him down, he threw the 84 yearold man on his head.

  5. Matthew says:

It’s so easy to take the high road. The cops need to be trained how to do that. The guy is an old man. We need to vote in politicians who want to train police in conflict resolution.

Today’s cops are more and more about exerting authority and “teaching a lesson” of violence. This won’t work and leads to an authoritarian state.

“To Protect and Serve,” yeah right.

  7. Philip Dennany says:

I wasn’t there to see it, but could handle/manage a sassy old man, without injury through over reactive brutality. The cop, according to witnesses used bad judgement and should be stuck with a hefty monetary payback and fired or placed in a position where he isn’t danger to other citizen people.

  8. Bill says:

It looks like the cop is an ignorant a$$hole.

  9. Ixnay says: <— ths story is so fuckign old its not even interestng anymore.. PLEASE stop sensationalizing OLD news.. You fuckignpeopledistract from CURRENT issues when you feed people this 3 year old garbage.. the mas got paid, the cop was diciplined.. why not tell THAT story? oh right, because weak minded fuckheads like who come to this site dont wantto see that..

    • Lugnut45 says:

I bet it isn’t old news for the old man. If he’s still alive, he’s going through pain everyday from those kinds of injuries. You are either a slave of a cop that stands by and never say anything, or you are also a person who would brutalize old people. F off

  10. Hank says:

Wow, now we live in a society with two classes – police class and doormat class. 84 old is charged with battery? WTF. The cop could have subdued him easily, if he did anything wrong. Only thing this old man did was to touch the “police officer”. How dare a doormat class to touch a member of “police class”.

Time after time, we see cops using excessive force on citizens they were supposed to protect and nothing happens to them.

We pay taxes to get beat up? What are we? Doormat

  11. Mike says:

I am so happy that this old man was awarded $880,000 for his injuries. Cowardly little cop. Travis Lamont is a sissy.

  12. Lugnut45 says:

He picked the old man up and slammed him head first to the pavement. Anyone who doesn’t see anything with that, are sadistic beast.

Portland police and Multnomah county sheriff’s are womanizing with other people’s wives and are giving those woman permission to poison off spouses for life insurance money’s!

Under the pretense of conducting sting operations police and county sheriff’s are gang-stalking and terrorizing people they want dead and are staging crimes using doubles and are using photogenic photo’s of those doubles raping children to frame innocent people as pedophiles!

Police and sheriff’s brag to their girlfriends and whores they poison people and they frame people as pedophiles using doubles and they brag they use flyers to publicly pedofy their victims and they brag pedofying people gets people killed!

After my wife and her gang-stalkers buddy’s/lovers in law enforcement battered my mother using a double and poisoned my mother and father and police covered up my mother’s 911 call my wife and her lover’s/buddy’s in law enforcement murdered my father and then they coached our oldest daughter to falsely label me as a pedophile and they did that publicly so no one would care if I am murdered!

Police officer writes my wife a love letter and he admits he calls my wife Mrs Dash in it because he gave her permission to be a poisoner!

My wife admits she is a poisoner of a plasma donor in her diary!

My wife tries to cover her but lying in a denial letter over her affair with a cop and lying denying she is a poisoner, her daughter was pregnant by one of the cops she names in that denial letter!

My wife brags she is a poisoner and admits she uses antifreeze as poison!

OHSU hospital covers up the fact my wife is a poisoner by ignoring the symptoms of poisoning and refuses to take a toxicology test and fakes not knowing what’s wrong with me!

OHSU hospital and police threatening me and covering up all my calls for help, even my 911 calls!

Police made sure I could not get help from any other hospital as well and no one will take a toxicology test!
