Another video shows acts of aggression towards the peacefully protesting Occupy Wall Street West crowd that blocked a part of the Financial District. The protesters were blocking the intersection at Sacramento and Montgomery streets when a bunch of police officers on motorcycles arrived at the scene, followed by other officers with batons.
A woman who stood in front of one of the motorcycles wouldn’t let them pass, but the cop rammed into her and drove away, while others began waving their batons and hitting people. Several people were pushed to the ground and one of them dropped the tablet he was using to record the scene, but managed to get it back when a cop kicked it towards the crowd.
Officer Carlos Manfredi defends the acts of his men claiming they were necessary because one officer was calling for help at a location blocked by protesters.
