Another family pet has suffered thanks to Texas police. In Odessa, Texas, U.S. Marshal Deputy shot a 15 year old dog named Spot, a loving pet of McDowell family.
Police was searching for Austin Dawson for violating probation and possession of a controlled substance, when Anthony McDowell invited them into his home to help them. McDowell gave the permission to the Texas police to search his property in order to find Dawson.
This good citizen warned police that there is a dog in the back yard. Despite the warning, police shot innocent dog multiple times. The reason why they did it is the same old “the dog came towards them in aggressive manner”.
“My dog didn’t even bark one time. He put two slugs into my dog for no apparent reason and we asked him why and he couldn’t give us no justification.” said McDowell.
Spot is fighting for his life in a vet clinic in Odessa. Vet believes he might survive, but he will never be able to walk again.
This is how Texas police officers showed gratitude to a good citizen. Even if the dog was acting in “aggressive manner”, all they had to do is ask McDowell to secure the dog.
The identity of the officer that shot poor dog, hasn’t been released.
